Browsing and Reserving Items

You are free to browse all of our items on the ‘Library’ page of the website. Items are listed in different categories and you can filter by item type, there is also a search function. If you want to reserve and borrow an item then you’ll need to sign up to a yearly membership.

Membership

Yearly membership is £30 a year which works out at £2.50 a month.

Exeter Library of Things is a not-for-profit Community Interest Company. We try our best to keep membership affordable but we also need to generate an income for the organisation in order to cover our running costs and make the organisation financially sustainable.

You can create a membership on our ‘Library’ page here by clicking on the ‘create account’ link at the top right of the page.

Signing up is straightforward and will take around 5 minutes. The first time you come to collect an item you will need to bring some form of photo ID and proof of address. You will only need to provide this ID once.

Collecting Your Reserved Items

We are open every Saturday 10am until 2pm.

Drop offs are between 10 & 11:30am and collections are from 12 & 2pm.

Our address is
178-179 Sidwell St above the Sidwell Bakehouse.

Come through the orange doors of the Bakehouse and up the stairs on the right.

At the top of the stairs head straight along the corridor and up the next flight of stairs. This will bring you to the Library.

When you collect your item/s we will check the item out and take payment through our computer system. We will give the item a visual check over, make sure you know how to use it and agree when it will be returned.

Something Missing?

If you think there’s a ‘thing’ we should have in the Library then please let us know. We also love a ‘thing’ donation so please get in touch if you have something you think might be suitable for our borrowers.
