“I set up Exeter Library of Things during the Covid lockdown in 2021.
I had a large bike rack sitting in my garage that I only used once or twice a year.
I started researching how I could lend it out locally, and that initial search led me down a rabbit hole of Tool Libraries and Libraries of Things.
I discovered a growing movement built around sharing resources, reducing waste and helping people access the things they need without having to buy them outright.
The idea really resonated with me.”

A drill, a carpet cleaner, a gazebo; just borrow it, use it, then bring it back.

We want borrowing to become a normal part of how people get the things they need.
